Integration of special vehicles

The Romanian General Police Inspectorate acquired in financial leasing police special vehicles and latest technology equipment compatible with European requirements for Schengen space.

AGER’s involvement in this project ranged from creating a integrated offer for police special vehicles and equipments to ensuring the final delivery.
Due to the complexity of the solutions offered, for each batch a project manager has been assigned.

The Project

In order to create a swift and operative informational flow and considering international cooperation between the Anti-Terrorist task forces, Mobile Crime Labs and Mobile Laboratories have been built.
The special vehicles were equipped to satisfy the needs of field work and also the need of swift information exchange required by the Schengen space.

A prototype was created for each batch of special vehicles.
The prototype came fully equipped and, based on the recipient’s approval, became the archetype.

The necessary endowments for the Mobile Crime Labs and Special Vehicles (Software, Specific equipments etc) have been contracted from worldwide famous brands like Mercedes, Mazda, Porsche, Dacia, Foster & Freeman, Panasonic, Sony, Canon etc.

Mobile Crime Labs

The Mobile Crime Labs : 4 wheel drive vehicles designed and equipped to operate in various climates and on any terrain, allowing the sampling of all categories of traces and micro traces.

Equipments designed for sealing of a crime zone has also been included, along with lighting solutions, enabling undisturbed investigations as well as night-time investigations.

Among the endowments are:

  • Marking Kits
  • Universal Forensic Kits
  • Forensic Lighting Kits
    (portable kits with variable lighting specter, from ultraviolet to infrared, required for highlighting traces in the crime zone, traces that range from biological to micro traces)
  • Micro traces Lifting Kits
  • Highlighting and gathering of biological evidence
  • Highlighting and gathering of fingerprints
  • Trail Marking Kits
  • Professional Photo-Video Kit
  • Portable Storage and Image Manipulation Solution
    (works in various climate conditions including rain and fog, equipped with all the necessary software including, but not limited to, Crime Scene Drawing and Schematics, sending markings via Ethernet to the nearest Police station connected to the National Databases).

Special Patrol Vehicles

Special Patrol Vehicles for Traffic Police were built on Dacia’s platform. MVC Laureate 1.6 16v Logans were made available for the Romanian Police, equipped with on-board computers, air conditioning and ABS.

The vehicles were endowed with:

  • mobile radar system with GPS
  • a wide variety of solutions for wireless connectivity
  • communication equipments
  • breath analyzers
  • modular optic & acoustic warning system
  • warning signs for signaling a crime scene
  • all the necessary electrical installations

Field surveillance

Field surveillance missions received eleven batches of vehicles with:

  • audio and video surveillance equipments
  • life-support systems
  • remote driving portable modules
  • latest technology communication systems

Most vehicles have been completely overhauled in terms of car body and electrical installation.
Specific equipments have been integrated and homologated, also benefitting from assembly, storage and security the entire period of integration, equipment and vehicle insurance while installed and homologated, the warranty being maintained although the car body and electrical installation were modified.

Also included were Police personnel training, periodic technical revisions and periodic metrological revisions.
